I want to be a flight attendant. I want to live a simple life and fly around the world and always come home to the joy the faces of my loved ones bring.
I don’t need to do anything “great”, by anyone else’s standards. If doing what is simple, if falling into some sort of routine, is what makes me happy, then I’m gonna do it, because the greatness I believe in is securing your own happiness. Once you’ve taken care of yourself, the rest will follow. You can reach out and help others in a way you never could if you were still struggling for control of your own life.
And we’re all struggling for control. But we’re all in this fight together. We help each other along merely by principle, and hope for the best.
I will continue to hope for the best. I will continue to hope. Because I have learned that when there is no hope, there is nothing.
